Artist Comment: This is a tonalist repaint of an older failed painting. I feel like it's a beautiful painting and worth putting in the first tier bin, especially when combined with the frame. I have loved Camille Claudel ever since seeing the French film with Isabel Adjani in the 1980s. So here Camille looks over the shoulder of a young woman, like an angel, holding her shoes in her hands. A silhouette of a bulky man on the far left is meant to suggest Rodin. Photographed very flat with no varnish. I am not a fan of this title, and it might change.
