Artist Comment: This painting stemmed from my conspiracy theory that the Russians faked Anthony Bourdain's suicide in June of 2018, after killing Nemtsov in 2015. I also painted Kate Spade in another painting, who supposedly committed suicide in the same month as Bourdain. One month before his death, Anthony tweeted about Russia, saying he'd never go back because of what happened to his friend Boris. Thrifted frame.
