Artist Comment: I have no idea what inspired me to paint this painting, but I felt it was appropriate to name it after a song of a similar name by the band Garbage. The painting is quite dark and black. It needs good lighting to see the details. I painted this with safflower oil, which took forever to dry, but the safflower should prevent the painting from yellowing and losing the purity of the night blues and purples over time. I also consciously tried to do Whistler's explosion of fireworks over the water. Yeah, he's a wee bit better than I am. Thrifted frame.
