Description: It's a party in Purgatory, where angels and demons are reaching across the aisle and coming together for mutual cultural enrichment. A demon woman toys with an angel boy, enchanting him with the sexy folds in her robe. She finds herself enchanted when the angel harpist begins to play. It's the most beautiful music in the universe.

Artist Comment: This was my first completed painting in a true Tonalist style, using a verdaccio and glazes of green and purple to bring up a rich tapestry of oil paint. There are six figures in the painting, in three pairs. In the left pair of figures, the demon woman has dominated her angel boy. On the right, the harpist has totally made her demon boy fall in love with her. In the far or middle ground, a demon man and an angel woman chat at an uneasy distance.
