Up From The Street From The Brasserie De L'Isle Saint Louis
Description: A fashionable foreign woman with a map in her hand asks a group of French teens for directions to a nearby brasserie. See sees one girl also loves fashion, but her Hermes purse is surely a fake.

Artist Comment: This is another scene I found to paint from a Paris VLog. It is a view of the Seine from L'Isle Saint Louis, specifically at Place Louis Aragon. I hunted everywhere for photos of this spot from different angles, and was frustrated by how much the place changed through the years, i.e. the trees, the shrubbery, the features on the far bank, etc. The photo here really doesn't do justice to the slick depth of the varnished oil. It accurately represents my continuing misery at painting fabrics, however.
