Description: Two angels head back to Heaven, but one is struck with a love arrow. The other narrowly escapes, but is pursued by a satyr, who is bleeding from a love arrow of his own.

Artist Comment: Here I was moving in a direction of more colors and value depth at the threshold of the Earth realm, while avoiding full landscape painting. The two cupids with bows represent either angels or extraterrestrials. While normally male figures just don't fit into my paintings, the satyr as symbol of earthly men is finding a place. So here there is symbolism of a wounded male. And in the female figure we see a seductress and demon, but a more complex woman than just a manifestation of the male gaze.
